I'm an italian user, and i've enjoyed mint just today, after Ubuntu! I hope i can find answers to my questions in this forum!

Welcome, I am also a "new" Linux Mint user. I am not new to Linux/Unix but I just switched from Ubuntu to Linux Mint.

I am also a newbie at Linux [only 3 weeks or so] and have found it so easy to use .....
asus M2N-MX board, AMD x2 6000 amd/ati graphics 4x1mb ddr2, 21" HD screen Mint 17-64 cinnamon
Acer ZG5 -mint 17 Xfce dell 1545 mint 17-64

Linux is a kernel, there are many different distribution, Ubuntu, Mint, Mandriva ecc.. Mint (ubuntu) is the easier, there are distribution like archlinux etc, this is very hard (i've tried to install it, i've failed every time :lol: ) Mint is the best for we, newbies :D

I have 2 on mint 10/64bit and one on Ubuntu, found both easy to use [I'm now too old and miserable to re-learn command line and the more purest forms]
