New laptop and new distro - Mr. Mint :)

Postby riklaunim » Sun Jul 24, 2011 5:51 pm

Hi there, my name is Piotr. I'm from Poland. :)

I've changed my laptop recently and I've decited to use something different than KDE4 and Gentoo ;) After checking few I've decided to stick with LinuxMint.

Asus N53S with standard Mint install. I've installed Bumblebee (but not really tested yet) for the nVidia Optimus thingy. Installed some dev apps, replaced few (gpicview replacing gog, gthumb). Option icon 505 GSM modem also works nicely.

Welcome to the Mint family forums

The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place.
