[SOLVED]MINT logo got blurry

Postby cyb3rc0de » Wed Apr 16, 2014 4:22 pm

Hello everyone!

After I installed nvidia drivers on my fresh LMDE installation, icon which is presented during boot became blurry and big, which is really ugly. Is there any way to bring it back in its previous size & state? Thanks!

Hi cyb3rc0de,

Have a look here. Go down to "12. #GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480" and have a good read. If you do change something don't forget to issue: sudo update-grub in a terminal.

Hope this helps. :D

Thanks on answer mate! Howsoever, this only changed resolution of Grub while selection, not the logo itself. Logo stayed on its bad resolution. Any solution?!

Thanks!

Hi cyb3rc0de,

This thread offers something that appears to work. I don't use Plymouth myself so I can't test. :(

EDIT: WORKS!

I forgot to update:

Code: Select all

sudo update-grub
sudo update-initramfs -u
