Re: New logo
I think it's fine.Termy wrote: ⤴Thu Jan 06, 2022 9:25 am That wallpaper is beautiful. I can't believe this isn't the official logo. It's perfect, IMO. I still have this message board displayed with a custom CSS, including the sexy logo. I can't imagine not having it, at this point.
There's just one thing which irks me about the logo: the top-left corner of the trailing part of the 'm' doesn't align with the crease going diagonally across the leaf. I think it would look much better (or at least settle my OCD down) if that trailing part (like a tail) were either 10-20% shorter or stopped when the top-left corner meats the crease.

Re: New logo
Just click Browse in the icon picker.
Re: New logo
I completely agree - it's a beautiful logo and a very nice modernization of the current logo. I'm using it for my menu icon already.
Re: New logo
What icon picker??

Re: New logo
Absolutely wonderful! I think It might be nice to have a slightly more 3D version with a drop shadow or very slight gradient, but that's just me.
A new logo is definitely needed IMHO. I hate to criticize anything at all about such a wonderful OS... but using this logo would go a long way towards improving the visual appeal.

Well, the shadow would be added when it is on top of something.SeventhSeeker wrote: ⤴Thu Jan 27, 2022 1:02 am Absolutely wonderful! I think It might be nice to have a slightly more 3D version with a drop shadow or very slight gradient, but that's just me.

There will be no gradient.

Re: New logo
That's exactly what I think too! Mint is the best OS, but using this logo would make it perfect.SeventhSeeker wrote: ⤴Thu Jan 27, 2022 1:02 am I hate to criticize anything at all about such a wonderful OS... but using this logo would go a long way towards improving the visual appeal.

Re: [NOW WITH POLL!] New logo
For extra material design, use Adapta Colorpack (forked by me as the original is undergoing a heavy refactor), Paper icons, and this plymouth theme with my logo. I don't know how to take a screenshot of plymouth.

Re: [NOW WITH POLL!] New logo
There are two major flaws with your poll. First, you need a fourth selection that says, "None of the Above". Second, it's a pain in the a...neck to figure out what the first three selections are without reading the entire thread (which is reason enough for me to not bother with the poll). I'm not picking on you specifically; most internet polls are similarly flawed.

Print Screen does nothing. Is there a plymouth preview application with printscreen support?

I have never heard of Plymouth. I can't help you here.gugalcrom123 wrote: ⤴Tue Feb 15, 2022 2:57 pm I mean I don't know how to make a Plymouth screenshot.

Re: [NOW WITH POLL!] New logo
There's a whole world of pain when you try to change the logo for a produxt that has its logos registered, so I can't see Clem galloping through that minefield too soon.
howevere that logo looks rather nice, and for personal use it has a lot of possibilities.
You could easily add that logo design to the 3D logos and to the logos on the Mint Cinnamon wallpapers using the same method I used in this Mint Leaves wallpaper and logos (including my Panel and Menu icons).
My mint leaves were the only ones I could find in a hurry, so they are a bit rough but a nice smooth image like yours would be fairly easy I think.
I think it would look great.
You've probably seen these two over the last year or so more than once in my screenshots.

They were just done in a couple of minutes using GIMP. Just slip your pattern into the 3d logo the same way.

Re: [NOW WITH POLL!] New logo
I still love your logo and voted for it.
And we need some cool dark wallpaper with it.
