Linux Mint Logo Revisited

Post by LIGNUX »

It seems that the LM community came to an agreement or consensus regarding the official logo of the OS, so the one adopted has been used to create sets of its themed variation from its inner part, its core, or should we say its kernel ?

Here are sets of Linux Mint logos (around 1,000) that I designed using copyleft photos (photos publicly released with the specific mention that they can be used, modified and distributed for non commercial purposes); some of my own photos were used too. However, if one or some would be used for commercial purposes, let me know in order to see what could be done.

The Linux Mint community will now become the care taker of this material, that can be used for whatever purpose it may wish: logos, icons, desktops, tutorials, stickers, Linux Mint promotion articles or videos, etc.

They do cover many areas of interest: sciences, nature, IT, arts, etc. or are purely aesthetic.

The logos, all in .png, are better seen on a dark background with viewers such as IrfanView or XnView.

I can not upload all the previews, at least this one will give you an idea of what it is (for the Abstract series)

I doubt that. I think that someone just decided on a logo, and I'm personally fine with that.
But creative adaptations like yours are a Good Thing. May they inspire many!

Good work. That could make a nice Hockney-esque wallpaper for Mint.

I like mrmajik45's pretty much.
I think there's some room for improvement, but all in all it looks fresh.
