I saw both of these posted on your DeviantArt page . . . very good work!!

Question: Why is the MinuxMint logo sooo small ?

Probably so it isn't too overbearing, and he wanted the focal point of the piece to be background of image instead of the logo. That's what I would have done anyway.

Hello Zwopper,

Perhaps a good candidate wallpaper to upgrade to a green and blue version is perhaps 'Hoovering Mint'. It as somehow something of a real 3D-effect. Only a suggestion :-)

Hey Zwopper,

I love what you do with your graphics.... I would love to be able to do what you do!
Anyway, I need to go check out your pages at Deviantart to get some inspiration!
Can I ask what Linux Mint version you use? Is it GNome or KDE? And also how do you get the "numlock" and "Caps lock" alerts in your status bar? I need to have that too since my EeePC 1000H doesn't have any LEDs to show me. Can i get those in either Gnome AND KDE?

Thanks again and talk later. Will you also be helping out with the Linux Mint magazine that they are trying to start?

Later, Eric

Hi Eric!
Thank you for your kind words.
I use the lxpanel

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install lxpanel -y
The Num- & capslock are simply a panel plugin.
I also use Eee control

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install eee-applet -y
Both of the above can be used in any version of Mint.
There is also a simplyfied(dumber???) lxlauncher - which is more "Netbook-ish"... :)

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install lxlauncher -y
Linux Format is a good Magazinr imho.
