A simple linux mint wallpaper I made

Not bad. But i look at it more like some re-edition of the logo itself...

One thing I strongly wanted to say is this is based on the old logo vectors from 2007. The one still being used here on the top of the page for this forum. I hope this gets changed, one day. I don't like this old logo from 2007 because this drawing is approximate. The spacings are not perfectly equal to each other, and even the line widths are not perfectly constant. On the contrary, the new logo being used on the new web site is closer to perfection. At least, all the line widths and spacings are equal. You can find this core drawing right there on your computer: /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/linuxmint-logo-simple.svg.

Also, another thing I would appreciate is a perfect cross alignment between the corners of the paths and the diagonal line in the background colors. As gugalcrom123 did here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=371860 (main logo)

That's a very simple core drawing, without any extra Inkscape data and metadata. Saved as Plain SVG. With a 1:1 scale ratio and no "fractional pixels"...

Now, on the positive side, apart from these subtle details listed above, I think your not-so-rounded corners could be considered to look better than the previous half-rounded half-squared attempts. And the diagonal split in the background is a good idea, but I would have made it with the darker tint on the bottom. Because... a darker tint feels heavier, and heavy objects should be placed at the bottom.

Your colors are not bad. I find it very hard to find the right hue/saturation/lightness combination for green tints. A strong saturation like yours is good for a logo.

The bottom fonts used for "Linux Mint" and "From freedom came elegance" are very nice. What are these?

I would have preferred the logo in camel case: "LinuxMint" (no space).

But here we are just talking about "cosmetics", again. Most people do not consider this to be important. The only ones who cares about such subtle details are strange corporations such as Google or Apple. And they only get a few billion followers and a few thousand billion dollars. So, obviously, cosmetics are not important.

Hey, I forgot to mention one very appreciated and obvious thing. I really appreciate you cutting off this useless and meaningless "stem" in the top-left. And you also added some decent margins. Just like gugalcrom123 and I have done before.

Many people have tried to change this old logo from 2007 in the past. This old logo still being used right here on the LinuxMint forums. Why? Because it really needs to be changed! It was okay back in 2007. Now it needs to be changed.
