Linux Mint Dragon

Post by danacrine » Tue Apr 13, 2010 4:58 pm

I found the wallpaper of a dragon that had a logo in the middle and being the clever person that I am I took out the logo and used gimp to put the linux mint logo in the middle, props to the person who created the dragon. Enjoy!

Well you see, this logo looks REALLY wierd, couse it's a Backtrack linux dragon.
And since it's basicaly a hacking tool, i don't thing it's a good idea to mess with BT4 fans :-)))
(ok, the last part was a joke)

Anyway it doesn't feel right to use another distro's logo regardless.

I looked at that dragon and immediately recognized BackTrack. Awesome little distro to play with, that. :D

I agree with behemothd though, using another linux distro's icon and stamping Mint's own logo on top of it doesn't really feel right.

Me too.

Very sleek and iconic.

If I created that dragon logo and someone used it without
my permission I would not be at all happy.

all i was trying to do was create variations of the dragon but geez if it is that bad to make something like this i will take it down. i didnt think that it would be that big of a deal since others do this as well.

There are about 30 versions of that Dragon with all different logo's at gnome-look/DeviantArt. I used to think they were pretty sweet, but they grow old fast.

Uh, sorry, havn't been here for some time.

Anyway, It's a theme i got with gnome-art manager, it's called "aero-ion3.1", and the app. bar theme is "DarkX-2s".
I prefer dark backgrounds, so i don't really have much choise there :-)))

By the way, i changed the "mint-menu" button icon - made one myself, it's a sloppy work, but i prefer it anyway, suits my theme better.

Made couple of diffirent versions with trasparent bkg as well, while i was experimenting
