Celena DVD Cover and CD label
Hi, I'm new to Linux Mint. I was investigating the new Linux distros starting from Ubuntu and found this one. I just love it. It's beautiful and great. Thats why i decided to make some covers for my copy. I'm no art designer, but i think this are pretty good. Any suggestions are accepted. What i really made was the mint leaf. The cover is based in one that i made for Kubuntu and that one was based in one that someone made for Ubuntu. Hehe, sorry for my English. En serio, perdón. Espero disfruten. Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments. I'll change the colors for more contrast with the text. The only thing is that the images are darker than the real svg work. Maybe thats the problem, but I'll adjust them. If you want you can also edit them downloading the source files in my first post. Thanks again for the support.
Hi, thanks again for the comments and the blog posting of the images. I just wanted to tell that I printed them... obviously the black "pack", and this are my conclusions:
DVD Cover:
* In the back, it's all readable except for the part "You are encouraged..." the font color it's too light. The suggestion is maybe to use a black or gray outline, or just use a darker green.
CD Label:
* Same as above, and also the "System requirements" title is too light.
I don't have a laser printer so maybe the colors are better printing that way.
When I have time I'll update the black cover and label (the poll says it's the favorite ) and also I'll made the ones for all the Linux Mint versions.
What kind of DVD cases do you use? regular? slim? superslim?
I have a slim one so i had to adjust the center of the DVD Cover.
Bye for now.

Re: Celena DVD Cover and CD label
Hi, thanks for the complements.
I'll update the covers, i just didn't have time with my job and all that
The content in the zip file are PNGs and SVGs. The SVG files I think that are the standard files for vectorial graphic. In windows you can open them with Inkscape. Also i think that Corel or Illustrator should open them.
Ill post again with the new cover!
Salute!

Re: Celena DVD Cover and CD label
Hi, I've uploaded again the source files of the original linux mint celena covers. You can open the svg file with Inkscape and edit them.
Here is the link (http://www.mediafire.com/?dxt1i2wv2zb) to the zip file with the svg, the additional images and the font used in the version number and name.
If you don't know how to edit the file ill upload a new version soon.
Bye for now.

Re: Celena DVD Cover and CD label
Your images are sexy.
Re: Celena DVD Cover and CD label
Sorry, I forgot to upload the rounded label. Found it on my laptop and uploading the source files right now. The zip file contains the svg and 2 images. I think that this svg (LabelPrint) was used to print the label right on the spot that's why it has the rulers. Maybe you have to move them a little bit, cause its somehow imprecise.

Sorry for my bad english
Great work with the new cover!
