Backuppc package not in 201403 repositories

Postby covietux » Fri Apr 25, 2014 3:34 pm

Just installed Update Pack 8. Now backuppc is no longer accessible from the repositories. What repository is it located in?

Yes, it's been removed from Debian Testing on 2013-11-11 so it's not in UP8. Later it migrated there again, so you can add Debian Testing repos to your sources list and get the package from there.

Thanks! Added the following to /etc/apt/sources.list and was able to retrieve the backuppc package:
deb http://http.debian.net/debian testing main contrib non-free

Can I assume that in Update Pack 9 (if there is one), that backuppc will be back in the debian.linuxmint.com repositories?

Don't forget to remove that line, or you may accidentally upgrade your LMDE to Testing. :)

Yes, if it won't be removed from Testing again, it will be in UP9.
