someone should port ubuntu tweek to debian.... call it mint tweek or something.

That's what Control Center does. Have you looked at that?

I think this is on the to-do list, but not very high on it. The application is hardly essential.

Yes, that would be great!

Control Centre is not the same, it can't do many tweaks that Ubuntu Tweak can.

BTW you should try Bleachbit as well, it's on LMDE's repo. It's something like CCleaner for Windows. :)
