[SOLVED]Debian Versions.. Confused about Scribus

Postby gosa » Sun Feb 20, 2011 7:53 am

Hi All,

Went to install Scribus today, and since I want to use the latest 1.4 (there's an RC out) I went to the scribus site for the download.

There - in the Linux section I found this information for adding the repositories:

Debian unstable (Sid):

deb http://debian.scribus.net/debian/ unstable main
deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ unstable main

Debian testing (Squeeze):

deb http://debian.scribus.net/debian/ testing main
deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ testing main

Debian stable (Lenny):

deb http://debian.scribus.net/debian/ stable main
deb http://debian.tagancha.org/debian/ stable main

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems to me that this page is not updated (Squeeze is the stable one now, right?) so I'm not completely sure on how to proceed... Should I use the testing repositories if I want to continue on the generally chosen path (LMDE always stays with testing unless I actively choose otherwise, right?) or which one do I choose to add?

I was kind of thinking about that one... to "disregard" the label, and go for the testing part.

Thank you for verifying my "thoughts"!
