Lightning Add-on for Thunderbird 9.0.1 (SOLVED)

Postby Fornhamfred » Thu Jan 26, 2012 5:59 am

I have just installed the latest version from update manager and attempted to add the version of Lightning which is compatible with 9.0.1 which is 1.1.1. Every time it reports that it could not be installed because it is not compatible. I think this is a Mint problem as I have the same version of Thunderbird running on both PcLinuxOS and Windows XP and the installed version of Lightning is 1.1.1.

Has anyone else had this problem please.

Is it possible to back date my Thunderbird to 3.1.7?

Why not just download Thunderbird from Mozilla?

Personally I believe email clients and browsers shouldn't be handled by the OS's repos.

I download Firefox and Thunderbird directly from Mozilla, and use the extensions from Mozilla.

No issues here with Lightning.
