Since I'm using smxi/sgfxi to install my Nvidia drivers, I usually take the opportunity of each UP to update them (outside update manager) to the latest. So I went from 310.19 to 325.15.
But this time I'm struggling to get my favorite go software working in 3D mode. It's Panda-glGo, a 32bit app. It has a "3D" mode that displays a magnificent goban (go board) seen from 3/4 above, along with the sound of the stones, if there are go fans around, it's gorgeous, I love it, and I'm not ready to abandon it, see these screenshots.
But if I try and launch it in 3D mode (openGL), I now come up with this error:
Of course I also applied the whole UP7, but I guess the responsible is the new driver.
Code: Select all
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
I don't know this error at all. Do you think it's possible that this particular soft be better handled by the older driver? I could easily roll back to Nvidia 310.19 with smxi, but maybe there is a better solution yet?
(Note that glGo otherwise runs fine in 2D "flat" mode, but that makes it look just kike any other nondescript go-playing software.)
TIA for any advice - best regards, Daniel
