I just put LMDE on my new eeepc and have everything nicely set up for Openbox sessions except that I can't tap the touchpad. This one setting doesn't work in gpointing-device-settings. Are gnome settings intervening in the background? I had it working in gnome. I also tried setting up /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d with the relevant settings, as per some posting I saw, but that did nothing.
edit: I just noticed that gpointing-device-settings also can't enable horizontal two-finger scrolling. There must be two config files, a system-wide one and a user one or a session one maybe which disagree with one another, am I right? where would I find these?
Thanks!!!
