DESPERATE: Problems with Wireless: ASUS eee 1015PEM

Postby DarthVuvuzealous » Fri May 27, 2011 12:57 pm

I have an asus EEE 1015PEM, and I just installed linux mint debian. However, the wireless card doesn't seem to work. I installed the drivers following the instructions above, but to no avail. I have tried pretty much every vaguely related idea I've seen in this forum and elsewhere. I'd really, really appretiate help.

iwconfig

lo no wireless extensions.

eth1 no wireless extensions.

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:off/any
Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=19 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off

pan0 no wireless extensions.
