cannot connect to cups

Postby kruijf » Mon May 09, 2011 6:20 pm

When i try to connect to cups whit http://localhost:631 then i get: could not connect to localhost:631.
Cups is installed and whit lsusb is see my printer, and it whil print.
But its strange that i canot connect to localhost:631.
Also when my printer is connected whit usb my touchpad is acting very slow, or do nothing.
The printer is a Lexmark x1150 and using the Lexmark z600 driver.
Who has the answer for me?

Found the solution i added this to mine etc/cups/cupsd.conf

#Port 80
#Port 443
Port 631
Listen 127.0.0.1:631

<Location />
Order Deny,Allow
Deny From All
Allow From 127.0.0.1
</Location>

The only thing that dont work is the scanner on the printer and my touchpad is working slow when the printer is on and connected.
