Password-protected file crashes LMDE 64 [SOLVED]

Postby ckosloff » Thu Jul 21, 2011 5:29 pm

LMDE 64 on HP Pavilion DV 8000, all the latest updates installed.
Here is my sources list:
deb http://debian.linuxmint.com/incoming testing main contrib non-free
deb-src http://debian.linuxmint.com/incoming testing main contrib non-free
deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian main upstream import backport romeo
deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org testing main non-free
I have a password-protected Calc file where I store all my passwords.
It is located in sdb1, I created that file while using Julia 64 and Open Office.
When I try to open that file in LibreOffice, it crashes the system completely.
Asks for password, I enter correct password, and then it logs me off.
Please help.

I had to restore Julia 64 from a recent backup.
LMDE 64 201012 is too old, time for another respin is due.
So many updates and system overhauls caused me to end up with an unusable system.
Will wait for respin to give LMDE 64 another shot, or maybe I will install Squeeze.
