xfce auto login and out

how do i auto login with xfce? also can i make a shut down button? right now i need to log off and then shutdown. very annoying :?

Your shutdown problem reminds me more of a Gnome error but XFCE delivers also results:

ill give that a shot. i did search and find that post before but noticed it said lxde so wasnt sure if that would also work in xfce
