[cathbard]

This thread will be where I will place all my artwork as I go along. I will keep editing the first post after I add each pic so you don't have to search through a hundred pages to find everything.
Just click on the images to get the full pic. Some things will have an apt command. To use these commands (or to use synaptic) you will need to enable my repo. Alternatively, the ftp address for the deb package can be obtained by right clicking the preview image for the item and selecting "copy link location". On some browsers just clicking on the image will initiate the download.

Also a matching icon set for the KDE4 theme. It's a cross between Mintfresh and a mintified Oxygen. I've replaced a lot of the blue in Oxygen with green.

Download the deb by clicking on either image and install it with dpkg or simply use kpackage.
If you have my repo enabled it is installable with:
apt install cathbard-kde-mint-buntunest
This deb needs ksplash-engine-moodin so install that if you don't have it already.
I also recommend that you install kdmtheme as well to make the kdm theme manager available in The System Administration Section of kcontrol (system settings).
It's worth setting the Mint Buntuleaves KDE wallpaper as the background in the Login Manager in kcontrol too so you get a more coherent boot.

Buntuleaves GTK Theme
Just click the image to get the deb and install it as a normal deb. You will also need my [url=ftp://cathbard.com/binary/cathbard-icons-mint-gtk_0.0.1-5_all.deb]gtk iconset[/url] installed to use this.
If you have my repo enabled it's just "apt install cathbard-gtk-mint-buntuleaves" to get both the theme and the icons in one hit.


Mint Buntuleaves Gnome Splash
The easiest way to use this if you want a gnome splash is to install gnome-splashscreen-manager and then you can set it and/or turn it on at will in System>Preferences>Splash Screen.
You will want to set your background colour really dark if you use this. That can be acheived pretty easily with:
sudo gedit /etc/gdm/PreSession/Default
in section "# Default value" change BACKCOLOR to ="#000000" (or "#112105 for a slightly green black)

Thanks guys. Actually I've spotted an error in it so I'll repost it after I redo it. The bottom text was meant to be like that actually, It was supposed to look carved. I may not finish the remake tonight but I'll definitely post the corrected version tomorrow at the latest - stay tuned!

KDE version .... hmmm, Blue on green? I'll have to try a few variations on colours. Maybe tomorrow.

Wow, I love this wallpaper because it's actually based around a design idea rather than just an attractive texture. It's really brilliant as a concept and it's execution. Yet another great wallpaper for mint!

Here are the kde versions of mint Buntuleaves. I've added blue to the top of the gradient so the kde logo sits better.
So I guess I'll make the kdm and ksplash using these and the gdm using the other one. I've made gdms but I've never made a gnome splash screen so I'm going to have to look into that before I can make them (I normally package login screens and splashs into the same deb). Are there any full screen splashes for gnome like the moodin engine for ksplash?

Here are the kde versions of mint Buntuleaves. I've added blue to the top of the gradient so the kde logo sits better.

This just doesn't cut it for me!
The blue clashes with the green in my opinion, I get the feeling an all blue background (blue gradient that is) would be much better.

I think the Gnome version is beautiful, and make no mistake, I'm glad that you've made a KDE version, I just don't like how it looks...

...and the blue tint in the gradient feels too purple somehow, maybe it's because it doesn't blend with the green, I don't know...

Well, I've created my first mint deb. This deb contains a kdm, a ksplash and a matching colour scheme for Mint Buntuleaves KDE
