Make sure you have compizconfig-settings-manager.
Go to Main Menu->Preferences->Advanced Desktop Effects Settings.
In the Image Loading catergory select jpeg.svg,png,text.
Go to the Utility Section, click on Cube Caps.
From there you can select the bottom and top cube pic.
You can also play around with the Skydome (the background pic behind the pic)
In the same Advanced Desktop Effects Settings go to Desktop Cube->Appearance-> Scroll down to Skydome
You can enable it and select what pics to use.
