Right clict format usb in mate desktop

I would like to know if somebody knows how to format an usb stick in the caja file manager whit right click mouse?

Not working in last weeks release of LinuxMint 14.1 MATE 64bit edition. Please advise.

I don't think that Caja has that function. You should use a partitioning tool instead, for example Gparted, available in the Software Manager.
However it is somehow complicated, and you should read the manual carefully before using it. You'll have to learn a little about partitioning first
So, a question: Why do you need to format it? I think deleting the files is enough

I also want to know how to format a flash drive under Mint. Ubuntu puts the format option as a right click on the desktop icon for the flash. What happened with such a simple common task in MATE? Gparted is dangerous and doesn't show the flash drives correctly. All my 3 flash drive were once made bootable under ubuntu or mint and don't even show desktop icons when inserted.
