Limit the size of a random folder...

I've just installed Dropbox on Mint11 and, as it has a 2gb storage limit, I'd like to limit the size of the Dropbox folder to 2gb (so that if someone needs to add a file but there isn't enough space it'll say, "oi, monkey-boy, delete some files first" or some such).
I've searched many forums but they seem to deal with home folders for specific users (I am inept at searching forums though).
The computer only has root log-on.
Thanks.

Hmm... I am not really sure how that all works, so this may not work:

But I think that you create a directory then make it your "Dropbox" directory and it synchronizes? Or... Something? Not sure because I do not really see how such a service could possibly be of benefit to me, so when I switched to Mint, I left my old - and unused - Dropbox directory behind.

But, anyway, if it works by mirroring a directory on your local computer, just create a two gig partition and stick (only) that directory in it. That should keep it from ever growing beyond that size, I would think.

BtW, if you specify that it's your Dropbox directory... then it's not really a "random" one, is it?
