[SOLVED] Audacious tries to open trash icon

Post by Darkraven »

I just installed Mint 16 (Mate, of course) and put the trash applet on the panel. I also installed audacious to listen to music. For some reason when I right-click on the trash icon and select open, instead of getting in the trash folder I get a message from audacious telling me that it is not finding the codec to play that file. Why is audacious trying to play my trash bin?! I know you can make some good percussion rhythms with a trash can, but come on! Seriously again: removing audacious makes the behaviour of the trash icon to be normal. I tried to find some clue in audacious options, but I didn't success. Also the panel options in dconf-editor don't seem to be helpful. Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks!

The following worked: in System>Preferences>Preferred Applications go to the System tab. There I found 3 options for the File Manager: Caja (with its usual icon), Audacious and Caja (with a folder icon). I just changed from the first Caja to the other one.
