Hello
I want to switch keyboard layout by pressing ctrl + number.
For example, if I have 4 languages: English, Russian and Ukrainian, and one more language.
I want to switch to:
- English by pressing ctrl + 1,
- Russian by pressing ctrl + 2
- Ukrainian by pressing ctrl + 3
- Other lang by pressing ctrl + 4
Alt+Shift is ok to use. But only when there are maximum two layouts. When 3 or more, it becomes not handy.
The feature described above is available on Windows, but not available in Mint.
Is there any way to create such short-keys?
Thanks.

KDE has this option
I have been told that KDE has this function out of the box.
So I downloaded Mint KDE, and yes, you CAN assign custom short-keys for each language.

Re: Switching layout by Ctrl + Number
I have the same question. I am trying Mint 20.1 with Cinnamon. How can I assign `ctrl+numbers` for the keyboard languages. I'm using 7 languages.
