No Desktop Icons in 18.2 MATE

Postby SnyperX » Mon Jul 17, 2017 2:49 pm

Hi all. I recently did a fresh install of Mint 18.2 MATE via ISO. After installed and getting things the way I wanted I found I could not get the default desktop icons to show up. Tried selecting and unselecting, rebooting, logging off and on. Icons never show up. I have a 5 display system if that makes a difference. Everything else is working perfectly. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Thank you for the link. I tried using dconf and nothing. I check and unchecked draw desktop icons and it didn't do anything. Still no icons :-(

Yes. That was the utility I was trying to use. I ultimately installed Cinnamon instead. Everything works find with the Cinnamon Desktop. Thanks for the responses everyone.
