Lock Screen Clock

I still do not understand why the Mate development team cannot fix the lock screen clock. I prefer 24 hour time so I set the desktop clock that way. But for whatever reason the stupid lock screen still shows it in AM/PM. For example, my desktop clock shows 14:23 (local time). The lock screen clock shows 02:23PM. I keep hoping this will be resolved one day, but with every release it's the same.

Maybe the Mint devs ... who, typically for open source projects, are not exactly overstaffed ... have more serious bugs to work on?
