How do I remove or unlock the window list applet? [Solved]

Post by aknickolai » Thu Apr 12, 2018 2:35 am

I've been using Mate for about 6 months now was playing with applets on my panel. I added a second window list applet, but I can't figure out how to move it or remove it. I know that I could reset the panel, but I'm really interest in a way to move and unlock the applet so I can configure the panel more. The default Mate panel has all that stuff locked down, and while I can move everything else around to my liking, the window applet is stuck where they sit. Does all that live in a text file somewhere I can edit? It's certainly not as intuitive to do graphically as Cinammon.

It is very difficult to see them with your dark theme, but immediately to the Left are 3 little dots... right click on them to lock, move, remove, etc.
enjoy.

Thank you!!

I switched to a light theme and still don't see the dots, but right clicking just to the left in the area I highlighted green works. That theme is one of the default Mint themes. Is there a trick to making the dots appear? I tried looking for them with panel preferences open and such, but still couldn't see them. Not a huge deal since it all works, just curious.

No idea why. Maybe it is unique to Mint.
Glad it worked ok.
