[SOLVED] Tray empty after update

Post by ecoalex »

After the last update for Mint 17 Mate, the desktop tray does not show opened apps.
How do I restore the tray to show opened apps ?

Thanks

First you need to post some more info I think, copy/paste this to the terminal and copy/paste the text output here (no screenshots please):

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
Also copy/paste this to terminal and copy/paste the text here to show your recent update history:

Code: Select all

less /var/log/apt/history.log

I went to the Desktop and Window Managers MATE thread, and found the answer.

Else you could also reset Mate completely, open a terminal, type mate-panel --reset, hit enter...

Bingo!
