Is there a way to undo an update?
After the last update to Mate Mint 17 , I have lost the use of the desktop tray. How can I fix this?
I posted in another thread , maybe the terminal displays shown will be a start?

Re: Restore Desktop Tray After Update
Not sure if i understood correctly what exactly got lost, you mean that you open apps, but when minimized they appear to have vanished?ecoalex wrote: ⤴Mon Jun 18, 2018 1:06 pm Is there a way to undo an update?

If yes, right-click in the panel, Add to Panel, select & add Window List, that's it.
Else you could also reset Mate completely, open a terminal, type
mate-panel --reset
, hit enter...Re: Restore Desktop Tray After Update
mate panel reset -That did it, Thanks
