MATE - Disable clipboard

Post by mliner »

Hi,

I would like to know if there is a possibility to disable clipboard in a Mate desktop environment?

I don't think so but why not just ignore it?

I don't really understand why you'd want to (it's pretty useful and not a resource hog) but there may be something in settings > startup applications. Or session startup or similar. It's been a while since I had the Mate version installed.

It is due to security reasons. MATE is a native UI for AWS Linux Workspaces and we would like have the possibility to disable this functionality.

These aren't support forums for implementations of the MATE DE other than Mint. Anyway, I doubt you'll get what you're looking for because each application provides its own support for the clipboard, and the X server provides global support.

...i would install dconf-editor, and have a look at both:
org.mate.SettingsDaemon.plugins.clipboard & also at org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.clipboard.
