Keyboard Shortcut Changes

Post by karlkec »

I've been using Felicia with gnome for a couple months and really like it. A few days ago, and for no reason that I can find, the mapping of the plus and minus keys on the right side of the keyboard changed. They no longer produce '+' or '-' when typed; the plus key now brings up a context menu wherever the mouse cursor is and the minus key does nothing. I normally use these keys to zoom in and out in Opera and some graphics programs, and they no longer work there.

These keys don't seem to show up when editing the gnome keyboard shortcuts.

Has the mapping for these keys changed as a result of an update? The only updates around the time this changed were to libmagick10 and pm-utils, but those don't seem likely to have caused this. Is there another place to control the function of those keys?

From an xterm, 'showkey -s' and 'lshal -m' don't detect those plus or minus keys being pressed. lshal -m from a console does detect them properly.

Is there some other way I can diagnose this?

Thanks.
Karl

Go to Preferences<Keyboard ant you could try adding your keyboard again and remove the previous one.
