Anyone managed to get system sounds working? By that I mean button sounds, opening/closing apps, menu button etc..
They work by default in Ubuntu Mate, but I'm struggling in Mint. Any ideas?

Re: Mate 19 - System Sounds
No idea, all I ever heard was the alarm/error sound, but I disabled even that. So unfortunately I cannot help, but at least you know that it's not just you.

Hi cottfcfan.
I know with Cinnamon
I know with Cinnamon
apt install libcanberra-pulse
fixes the missing system sounds. However, I don't know if that works for Mate.Re: Mate 19 - System Sounds
The only sounds I ever noticed in mate (since mint 9) was when adjusting the volume slider. No sounds from open/closing apps etc.
EDIT, I forgot, I get a sound for take screen shot.
