Hi,
on Mint Mate 17 it was possible to do multiple file operations (Caja).
Than I switched to Mint Mate 18. Mint Mate 18 allows only one file-system-operation (Caja).
Can anyone please tell me to change that?
Example:
Sometimes you should do backups. So lots of data is copied from the internal HDD to an USB-drive. Takes hours.
Then a tiny file with a mere of some hunderd bytes should be copied form my Mint Mate 17 SSD to my Mint Mate 18 SSD.
And for that one have to wait several hours to take place.
This ridiculous unacceptable behavior is an absolute a no go. Any help?

Simply click the "Play" (triangle) button to force a queued file operation to start immediately.
Re: Mint Mate 18 allows only one file-system-operation (Caja)
The example was added to illustrate the problem. It was chosen poorly form my side. So please drop that example.
Yes in file operations you can stop one operation to start the queued one. As soon as the queued one is finished it will proceed with the first one.
And when the two file operations are large it triples total time from each summed up, which is disgusting.
My problem is, that I work often with multiple disks. That queuing thing looks senseless to me. And force anything the whole time is obvious not the way its meant to be. So how can one disable the queuing itself?

I'm not aware that you can with caja. You can for nemo.

Caja in Mint 17 does. How to alter it, that it works as in Mint Mate 17?
Re: Mint Mate 18 allows only one file-system-operation (Caja)
Either go find the setting that I'm not aware of, modify the source yourself, or suggest to the MATE team to do it.

Where to look?
The actual decisions of the Mint Mate team aren’t working for me. See num lock disabling.

My numlock is working fine. But there are plenty other desktop environments out there, you are not stuck with MATE and the direction it is taking. Find one that suits you better!
Re: Mint Mate 18 allows only one file-system-operation (Caja)
i fixed my numlock working, but the LED does not. Can't figure out a way.

Last time i looked, Mate was the least awful fulll one.
