Mint Mate 18 has some nonsense incomprehensible symbols

Hi,

some symbols in Mint Mate 18 are nonsense and incomprehensible.
Chinese will make much more sense.
The symbols in Mint Mate 17 are acceptable.
How does one change them back?

What symbols?
I didn't like Caja's: I replaced it with the Nautilus symbol - and on the desktop with my own drawing.
Otherwise I am actually quite satisfied...

To replace symbols: > Properties>click symbol>choose another symbol - and yes, this can also be a drawing I created myself...

Did you batch replace them? And if how?

If there is no answer to my question, I cannot offer any suggestions.
Symbols or icons (?) can be exchanged easily and - at least until the next UpGRADE - the system can be set up comfortably...
