Trying to make this feature available to me so a can snap a window with "Windows + Left" and "Windows + Right".
I've tried installing and configuring OpenBox, but have failed.
I tried to install Compwiz, but the Software Manager said it is already installed. When I try to launch it, nothing happens.
I am running Mint 18.3 MATE.

Re: Aero Snap for Linux
To use Compiz you have to switch to it. Open Control Center from your menu and in the Look and Feel category there select Desktop Settings. Click on Windows in the left sidebar and you can switch to your window manager to Compiz on the right.
You don't need Compiz for this though!
Just open Keyboard Settings (under Hardware category) from your Control Center. In the Window Management category there you can set keyboard shortcuts to "tile window <direction>". That will move the window into that direction and set it to 50% / 25% screen size.

Perfect! Thank you much for your help.
I just did the keyboard bindings as suggested.

Re: Aero Snap for Linux
Whatever I did before hand really screwed everything up.
My menu is all messed up in KRDC.

Plus my Desktop icons are all on top of each other and will not move to top of screen. They only go to the half way point of the screen.
File Manager menus have bold edges.

Looks like the only thing that works for now is to create a new user profile.
Re: Aero Snap for Linux
Possibly from installing and trying to use openbox. Try uninstalling what you installed before.

Already did.
After further troubleshooting, seems it's a problem with my ARandR, possibly.
Because if I move the window to my middle screen (laptop screen), the menus display just fine.
It's only when I move it to my other monitors that the menu is middle screen.
