I have an older laptop that supports only upto 1366x768 resolution, I have it hooked upto a 72" UHD tv, this resolution shows up as supporting 1920x1080 resolution.
If I have the two displays mirroring each other then the resolution I get is 1366x768, however if I make the tv primary it goes up. When I launch an application (like VLC player) from the panel (which shows up on the tv display) it gets launched in the "other" display.
Is there a way to force an app to launch in the tv from a panel shortcut?
