Hello folks,
I have Linux Mint Sylvia 18.3 mate (64-bit) running on my machine.
After I turned on my computer yesterday morning, the window border (i.e. minimize, maximize, and close button) was missing. I have spent several hours searching online and trying many things suggested including checking and unchecking window decorator in Compiz.
At the moment, the only way I can get the window border is to open a terminal and type unity or openbox. Once I close the terminal, the window border is gone. Please does anyone know a permanent fix for this?
Thanks

Re: Missing Window Border
I just got a workaround. I added openbox to startup application. I restarted my computer and the minimize, maximize, and close button are back without running it in the terminal every session.
