My mouse stops moving after a few minutes after booting up or after several hours.
What could be the reason for this,
I use init 6 to reboot when it occurs.
My laptop is an HP Compaq EliteBook 8440p.
This is a recent problem after installed a virtualBox running Win7.

jackroq From what I have read on HP Compaq EliteBook 8440p. There seems to be a glitch on the mouse or screen freezing every so often.With no fix as of yet.
Note these problems have been with windows running on the 8440P.
I could not find any one else reporting a problem while running Mint mate.
I would suggest that it may be caused by the installing virtualBox running Win7. Especially if you had no problem before you installed Win7

Hi jackroq, I had a similar problem. I fixed it by unplugging my mouse and using the touchpad only.
