[SOLVED] Moved across time zones, clock messed up

Post by Schultz »

I just recently moved across the US, from the Mountain Time Zone to the Central Time Zone. I changed the time zone in settings to Central Time, then changed the time to the correct time, but on every reboot the time keeps moving one hour behind. I am using the Mate desktop (obviously since this is the Mate section :) ). Any ideas what I'm missing?

Found the answer elsewhere. In a root terminal shell enter dpkg-reconfigure tzdata to switch time zones.
