screensaver settings aren't worth a bit

Post by EverGreen »

After a short afk, my screen is off; totally black.
My screensaver setting is 50 minutes, and not black.
Its also neither a power management setting, DPMS or xorg.conf.

So where does mint (the newest mate) set this and me up?

That is an interesting find, but it cannot be. I have a different Mint, where the problem doesn't occur, with the same grub settings.
And its definitely a screensaver setting.

Its so so nice, if you watch a vid, and after 10 minutes - bam - the screen goes black.

If you take a look at the attached screenshot, you see that my mint 20.1 ignores my screensaver settings.
Where is this stupid esoteric obscure setting, which overrides my screensaver settings?
(I guess 600 means the unit s, but that's a wild guess on my part)
