My Lower Panel is Gone thru My Wrong Click... <SOLVED>

Post by loybanks »

I screwed up earlier and clicked on the wrong whatever. But my System Tray or Panel at bottom is gone. So how do I get it back? Cannot operate without it. My screw up I know that. I see where one person went to the applets page and got it back. So how does one go the applets page in LinuxMint. I use the office type. ? Sure could use some help here. As always my thanks. Loy Banks

Have tried from the Terminal but did not work... gsettings reset-recursively org.mate.panel (THIS IS FOR MATE)

Well I did figure a solution to my problem. My lower Panel is now back in place. I will post what I did to accomplish this in the next day or two. Thanks.

For those interested my solution to getting the Panel back was as follows:

I did a reboot for my machine.

When the Menu pops up showing:

Linux Mint 20.2,
Advanced Options for 20.2 Xfce,
LinuxMint 19.2 Tina,
Advanced Options,
UEFI Firmware.

These five items are in my Menu. Yours may be different depending on your OS Version.

Then I went to the first Advanced Options for 20.2 Xfce. There you will find Recovery Mode. Then selected LinuxMint 20.2 Xfce with Linux 5.4.0-86-generic (recovery mode)

So then I clicked on recovery mode and the rest is history. My Lower Panel popped right back to where it should be. Thanks to all.
