Most aspects of Mate have been great, but a couple of the dialogs have issues.
The first one with a problem was the Preferences - Displays configuration dialog. I use 4 monitors and the window showing the monitor layout displays them as tiny rectangles in the centre, making it difficult to accurately position them: Is there some way to enlarge the view to more accurately position the displays?
I also noticed that I need to Apply any changes and restart the Displays dialog after each change, or the dialog gets messed up: The dialog display artefacts occur with both Nouveau and Nvidia drivers.
I installed Caja Actions, but I have been unable to assign icons to any action. The icon chooser dialog does not display any icons or provide any way to choose one: Is there something else I need to install to get the icon chooser dialog working correctly?
Addendum:
Since I posted this I found a related application in Synaptic: 'file-manager-actions', that seems to be the basis for 'caja-actions'. I installed it, and it works correctly. Strangely, 'file-manager-actions' is an old archived project has not been updated recently, but it doesn't have any issues. On the other hand, 'caja-actions' was updated in 2021, but appears to have a major bug.
