search menu in the mint menu

Hey a quick wondering is there a easy way to reduce the width of the search bar in the mint menu, nothing comes up when i search on the forum. i'm on linux mint 21 mate.

I think there is no easy way to reduce the width of that search box.

maybe if you turn off application descriptions the whole menu might be narrower? I can't recall if you can drag the edge of mintmenu for mate to resize it or not. anyway, right click the menu icon and choose configure or properties. see what options are in there regarding application descriptions and position of the search box.
I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

Turning off applicaton description won't change the width. We need a feature request here.
