Sort of a minor problem, but baffling all the same...
Situation: I have two monitors and multiple (6) workspaces and I picked a nice background image. Occasionally, the background of one of the monitors turns black - no image, just black (happens to the left one the most but also the right monitor). I don't actually see it happening. Usually I notice it when I switch from a workspace where I've used an application full-screen, and on the same monitor, different workspace, the screen is black. Any windows there were (and desktop icons) are still visible and operable just fine - it's as if I had gone and selected a black background. However - not quite the same, because the other monitor is still displaying the configured background image.
The workaround is to right-click and select "Change Desktop Background", change the background image then change it back.
Any ideas? I have no idea what controls the desktop background. Why is it going blank?
Charles
