Please post suggestions for improvement of Cinnamon here
1 post • Page 1 of 1
Hi all how's it going, recently I installed a fresh copy of Linux Mint 18.1 Serena with cinnamon on my desktop and it has been working pretty well. After setting up all my software again I downloaded a script called Katoolin. I used it to add the repository and then installed a couple of packages but accidentally chose install menu. I have tried removing KALI-MENU from the terminal but it has still overridden the menu categories in cinnamon and got rid of the defaults. In addition, this seemed to get rid of the icons in my panel which is stopping me from launching applications quickly, I only have the icons on my desktop but cannot search for them in the start menu. I haven't used cinnamon for a while so not sure what to do, any help would be most appreciated. I have also tried going to config and restoring system configuration in the menu editor but it doesn't seem to do anything.
