OK, I am pretty sure this topic has been brought up in here before, but there doesn't appear to be an answer. So here is my dilema. I moved some images into my "usr/share/backgrounds/linuxmint-extra-maya" directory, gave them all root permissions but when i right click the desktop and go into my appearance settings the images I've added don't appear. I can't for the life of me find anything on how to make this work. Please help! thanks in advance
p.s. i'm still learning about Linux and command line so be kind to me!

Re: Backgrounds directory images don't show in Appearance wi
Oh I see. Thanks. There isn't really any reason I cant just add them, except that the images don't stay there. I would just like to be able to have all my pictures available in one place. So any idea what I can do? How can I edit the .XML to see those images?
