i'm running in this install raring

Code: Select all

zerozero@zerozero-at-nadia:~$ inxi -S
System: Host: zerozero-at-nadia Kernel: 3.8.0-0-generic i686 (32 bit) Desktop: Gnome Distro: Ubuntu 13.04 raring
the hostname is a misnomer :lol:
this week (with desklets and some other commits) cinnamon has been a bit unstable but this is not the usual self; on the other hand this is a development branch and can break anytime.
How is your 3.8 kernel working for you? Stable?

the only thing i saw (with the 6th-8th updates) the wallpaper wasn't rendered (but if i alt+f2+r it was there for a 1/10 of a sec); in the 9th or 10th that issue went away;

as for the kernel: i had updated the xorg/drivers stack the day before to use intel's sna according to this using xorg-edgers and my little GM45 has new life;
all this to say that it works (very well) but i can't pin-point from were the main improvements came :mrgreen:

and cinnamon+kernel 3.8 is really light
