I have Tried to Install (on USB External HDD DRIVE With Laptop Interal HDD Disconnected Pulled Out & Unplugged) Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon DVD Bit only Install it in Compatability Mode, Installs fine that way. When Boot it up Normally i get this Message "[141.876866] piix4_smbus 000:00:07.0 SMBus base address uninitialized- upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr" , & drops into cmd line, can Log in fine. have serached for solutions But cannot find any? If i boot into Recovery Mode i get the Normal Startup but if go into Cinnamon Session I get Blue/Black Screen cannot see anything on the Desktop except for Blue/Black the Application, I can see the Menu Just fine & select Apps fine. I can Log into Mate Session just Fine can see evrything & all. (Except 1 Issue Software Center wont start See Below)
On the side of the Coin If Install Linux Mint 13 Mate Evrything will Install Fine (No Recovery Mode Install) & log into Mate Session evrything works. (Except 1 Issue Software Center wont Start See Below)
If i try to Log into Cinnamon Session i see Blue background & if i launch an App from menu which i can see i just get Black Border from an App.
