system tray autohide development

Hi,

I'm trying to develop a system tray similar to those into Windows 7 and 8. Basically all icons are in a menu that only shows it content when clicked.
So far using the code provided by the existing system tray applet I have managed to put all the icons that should display in the system tray in a menu. The problem is that nothing happen when I click a icon in that menu.

Unfortunately, documentation and debugging of Cinnamon isn't really helpful and I can't find help anywhere. I think I missed something about St.Bin or Actor but with any proper documentation it's hard to tell.

Here is the code I have done so far. Could someone help me with this one ?

Cheers,

EDIT : You may have to turn off your current system tray while working with the one I provided. Activate both at once make both buggy.

I'm new to Mint and I was looking exactly for this feature. I'm surprised nobody has thought of something like this before.
